CURRENT THOUGHTS: I know that I said I was going to
either take a break from this author, or jump into a later part of the series after reading book #2, but I found myself with some time on my hands until my next ARC review is due, so I decided what the heck, after reading two historical novels back to back, let me read a thriller. So far, this one is following along the same lines as the other two (Emily is off investigating something she probably shouldn't be, although at least this time she requested time off instead of doing it on company time) and she brought her friend and newly minted field agent Foley with her. She gets called to a case despite having time off and immediate is met with a man who you can tell does not want to work with her because of how young she is. All I can say is I very sincerely hope this one ends up different and I don't feel like I wasted my time. On the plus side, these novels are on the shorter side and do have a steady pace so it shouldn't take me long to get through even if it does. |
