Whatcha Reading Wednesday

GENRE: Thriller PAGE LENGTH: 361 pages PUBLISH DATE: March 26, 2024 FORMAT: Kindle PERCENTAGE: 8% READ THIS AUTHOR: Yes READ THIS SERIES: Yes   CURRENT THOUGHTS: Admittedly, I just started this one yesterday before bed, so I'm not very far into it. However, the beginning is very promising. Dani's mother who has been practically mute since her being sent to a psychiatric hospital after the brutal murder of Dani's father a decade earlier, suddenly asks to speak to Dani. And in the middle of one of her rants, casts doubt in Dani's mind as to whether or not her mother actually did kill her father. Added to that we have a man who at first appears to be a "nice guy" but who definitely has ulterior motives that I can't wait to explore. I am also hoping that the author took the constructive criticism that myself and other people left her after the first novel and has made Dani a more realistic character instead of some sort of "wonder woman".
