Review: Wrecked (Clayton Falls #3) by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Picture
Jake Matthews has had his share of screw-ups. But landing unconscious in the hospital after drunkenly wrecking his truck has to be the biggest screw-up of his life.

Emily Taylor is working double shifts as an ICU nurse to help cover expenses, while still attempting to mend her broken heart, so when she meets Jake, she doesn't know quite how to deal with his flirtatious nature.

Eventually, she succumbs to Jake's charm and leaves her phone number with him, only to embark on a romance she never thought was possible.

My Rating: 5 stars out of 5

I devoured this book in only TWO days. I seriously could not put it down. I had to know what was going to happen next. Would Jake be able to accept Emily AND her son? Would Emily come to think Jake was too reckless to handle her family? I was drawn in from the first page, and Wrecked was a story that did not disappoint.

As always, Ms.Ivy's novel is filled with well developed characters (both old and new), and her story-telling is smooth and captivating. I am always excited whenever I am able to read one of her novels (especially the Clayton Falls series as they were my introduction to her writing, and I always feel like I am coming home when I read them).

I enjoyed the romance between Jake and Emily, theirs was not an easy relationship (they had some pretty significant things happen along the way), and I admire the way they were able to overcome their own personal struggles to form a stronger bond with one another.

This was my favorite book of the Clayton Falls series so far! Please...PLEASE, tell me you're working on Book 4 with Mel? I am so NOT ready for this series to be over!!
